Rupashree Adam, a Visual Fine Arts student from Chennai is breaking the internet with her unbelievably cute miniatures of food. As a five year old girl, she loved playing with clay utensils and used to design her own set of dishes by using dough (atta) from the kitchen. This childhood hobby of Adam’s has now became an all consuming occupation.

Charming Miniatures is a blog by Rupashree Adam, which showcases her intricately curated miniatures of many Indian and Continental dishes, ranging from appetizers to main course gourmet meals, which can make you salivate real bad.

She gives all the credits of her success to her parents who identified her creative streak and motivated her to nurture her art. It takes almost 3-4 hours for her to develop one perfect dish which involves baking the clay for a definite time period. She finds South Indian dishes particularly difficult to create, because of it’s variety of components which are usually absent from its continental counterparts.

“I plan to begin with Indian dishes, more of south Indian dishes for a start, but will gradually add on to the range, including some of the exotic global fare dished out all over India and globally. You will be able to catch the passion of a foodie flowing through these artistic creations,” she says.

Adam soon plans to release videos of her work to teach enthusiasts about her unique art. She will also put her work on sale in another one or two months.
